Words to Remember

The following is attributed to Alexander Tyler A Scotsman, some historians disagree however. But, whoever said it was very wise indeed.

From that moment on, the majority always votes for the candidates who promise the most benefits from the public treasury, with the result that every democracy will finally collapse due to the loose fiscal policy, which is always followed by dictatorship."
"The average age of the worlds greatest civilizations from the beginning of history, has always been about 200 years. During those 200 years, these nations always progressed through the following sequence:

1. From bondage to spiritual faith;
2. From spiritual faith to great courage;
3. From courage to liberty;

At this point in time we have reached number 6 and are fast becoming dependent on government. In fact Obama and the democrats are making sure every person in this country will be dependent on government.

In my humble opinion if things do not change in the next two years we all will be in bondage and no longer will be able to claim that we are a free people.

Choose Freedom

We are no longer the land of the free. This nation has become everything our founding fathers fought against, and we only have ourselves to blame.

For too long we the people have become lazy and have let the media dictate who will become our next leaders, and we have not chosen wisely. We have failed the test time and again and have chosen to elect fascists, socialists, and now even a communist.

Neither party is worthy of our respect any longer. The democrats have proven time and again that power over the people is their way. Republicans have chosen to be the party that can't decide who they are. Again and again they have wandered around aimlessly with no clear path. Not much of a party if you ask me.

The only solution I see is voting for third party candidates that will support and defend the Constitution and not just give lip service to those words.

I'm truly saddened by the direction our country is headed, and if we the people do not take action within the next two years we will loose our precious freedoms forever.

We must join together and fight the tyranny we face today.

Dr. Zhivago

Last night, I had the pleasure of watching Dr. Zhivago. I had forgotten how good it was and I thoroughly enjoyed myself. Now I know you're wondering what this has to do with a political blog so I will tell you.

The November election was like a revolution. Obama ran a campaign promising to provide for the little guy. He also promised to bring down the wealthy and redistribute their wealth. The masses loved it. They bought into his revolution of change. But, just like in the movie reality will hit you in the face sooner or later. Those who were committed to change saw what the revolution brought them. It was change alright, but hardly what they were thinking about. Instead of lifting up the little guy the revolution brought everyone into poverty, except of course those who were in charge.

Communism has failed around the world. It just doesn't work. The state can not provide enough for all so all must suffer. Obama is an idealist to be sure, and he is smart enough to know that he can parlay his presidency into wealth for himself. I doubt that he cares one bit if he harms this country or the people. I know the democrats don't care and I suspect that many republicans feel the same way.

I have to think that the shine will wear off Obama's halo soon enough, and the media will no longer be singing his praises. But, I also think that by time the people of this country realize what has happened it will be to late. The dems will have empowered themselves and the republicans because they are trying to reinvent themselves into democrat lite will be forever a minority party.

History will write that on Jan. 20th, 2009 the lone superpower of the world began to crumble and burn, and President Obama fiddled and let it happen.

I think it is sad that so many people believed what the media told them about Obama and did little research themselves. For if the had they would see he is no socialist, but a hard core communist.

Shape Of Things To Come..............

This is a great article that will give you an idea of what shape this country will be in if Obama and the ultra leftist democrats get their way.

The economic policies of Obama's are a throw back to the failed policies of FDR and the New Deal. Most economists now agree that FDR kept us in a depression far longer than what was necessary because of his policies. Had it not been for WWII we most probably would still be in a depression caused by reckless monetary policies enacted by Congress and FDR.

Respecting Our Rights,

Not hardly. During the election of president Obama said he respected our rights to own firearms. There was a little caveat to that in which he said or implied that the federal government still maintains the right to regulate guns and gun laws. Of course one may ask what is reasonable? To Obama any gun should be subject to draconian legislation. He never once believed in the second amendment, nor the Constitution as a whole. In Fact in an interview givin in 2001 he said he thought the Constitution is flawed. How can this man take an oath to uphold the Constitution if he believes it to be flawed?

Obama hasn't even taken office yet and the gun grabbers in congress are already at work. WND had a terrific piece today in whichan Ill. Congressman by the name of Bobby Rush has introduced a bill H.R. 45 which will rewrite gun ownership law in America.

This is the context of the bill as explained in the WND piece;

"Rush's proposed bill, H.R. 45, is alternatively known as "Blair Holt's Firearm Licensing and Record of Sale Act of 2009," named after an Illinois teenager killed by a gunshot.

According the bill's text, "On the afternoon of May 10, 2007, Blair Holt, a junior at Julian High School in Chicago, was killed on a public bus riding home from school when he used his body to shield a girl who was in the line of fire after a young man boarded the bus and started shooting."

The bill then argues that interstate firearm trafficking and children dying from gun violence create legitimate cause for the federal government to monitor gun ownership and transfers in new ways.

If passed, the bill would make it illegal to own or possess a "qualifying firearm" – defined as any handgun or any semiautomatic firearm that takes an ammunition clip – without a "Blair Holt" license.

To obtain a "Blair Holt" license, an application must be made that includes a photo, address, all previous aliases, thumb print, completion of a written firearm safety test, release of mental health records to the attorney general and a fee not to exceed $25.

Further, the bill makes it illegal to transfer ownership of a qualifying firearm to anyone who is not a licensed gun dealer or collector. Exceptions to this rule include transfer to family members by gift or bequest and loans, not to exceed 30 days, of a firearm for lawful purposes "between persons who are personally known to each other."

The bill also requires qualifying firearm owners to report all transfers to the attorney general's database. It would also be illegal for a licensed gun owner to fail to record a gun loss or theft within 72 hours or fail to report a change of address within 60 days.

And if a minor obtains a weapon and injures someone with it, the owner of the gun – if deemed to have failed to meet certain safety requirements – faces a multiple-year jail sentence.

H.R. 45 is a resurfacing of 2007's H.R. 2666, which contained much of the same language and was co-sponsored by 15 other representatives and Barack Obama's current chief of staff, Rahm Emmanuel. H.R. 2666 was assigned to the House Judiciary committee, where no action was taken.

H.R. 45 currently has no co-sponsors and is likewise assigned to the House Judiciary committee."

This type of legislation, should it reach Obama's desk, would certainly be signed by him. He doesn't respect the Constitution, this country or our rights.

Bankruptcy Day, Feb. 10th....................

Can Congress do any more harm to our economy than they already have? Well, friends the answer is a humongous YES! On Feb. 10th of this year a new law goes into effect that says that all items sold at stores for children have to be tested for lead and other cancer causing agents. While Congress passed this law to "protect the children," (the standard mantra of the left now,) it will have a devastating effect on commerce. Small mom and pop shops will have to test each item of children's apparel, toys, and even books at a cost of $100 to $500 dollars for each test. Many of these shops of course cannot afford this kind of expense and will be virtually bankrupt on Feb 10th because after that date they will no longer be able to sell their products.

Big box stores are not exempt either, they will have to comply with the new law too, but I'm told that many will just pitch the items they have on their shelves and restock with toys and such that have already been tested. There goes the landfills.

This law was passed by a broad margin. In fact only three Republicans in the Senate voted against this bill. Bush signed this into law last year not thinking of the damage to small business or even the consequences of the thousands of people he put out of work.

Of course now Congress sees the problem now and wanst to "FIX" things, but, will most likely be to little to late for most mom and pop shops. In an era of a bad economy you would think that Congress would just reverse themselves on an obvious bad law, but no, the "FIX" is in.

And if this isn't bad enough the EPA this year will start to tax farmers with a flatulence tax. Yes, my friends farmers are going to be taxed $175 dollars a year for every cow they have on their farms, hogs and chickens aren't exempt either and will be taxed at a lesser amount. The reason for this tax is to clean the air, if you can believe that. I didn't know taxes cleaned the air, I just thought they cleaned out our wallets.

Today our government is out of control and WE THE PEOPLE are about to experience a national nightmare. If the new President and Congress get their way the United States of America as we knew it will cease to exist.

Do You Care?

Does anyone really care that Obama is the messiah of the left and will most likely be, (in my opinion,) the president who leads this country to ruin? Well, many people don't care, and that scares the hell out of me.

To many voters in the November election voted for Obama for change. Never mind that they had no idea what kind of change. They hated Bush and republicans so much they were willing to vote for the most leftist extremist in the history of our country.

Make no mistake, now that the democrats are in office our liberty is in jeopardy.

This is an exerpt from an article from the WorldNetDaily in which Kissinger explains with great glee that Obama has a chance to create a NEW WORLD ORDER!

He states:

"There is a need for a new world order," Kissinger told PBS interviewer Charlie Rose last year, "I think that at the end of this administration, with all its turmoil, and at the beginning of the next, we might actually witness the creation of a new order – because people looking in the abyss, even in the Islamic world, have to conclude that at some point, ordered expectations must return under a different system."

As WND reported, Kissinger was also part of last year's super-secret Bilderberg Group, an organization of powerful international elites, including government, business, academic and journalistic representatives, that has convened annually since 1954.

According to sources that have penetrated the high-security meetings, the Bilderberg meetings emphasize a globalist agenda and promote the idea that the notion of national sovereignty is antiquated and regressive.

CNBC's Haines concluded the Kissinger interview by asking, "Are you confident about the people President-elect Obama has chosen to surround him?"

Kissinger replied, "He has appointed an extraordinarily able group of people in both the international and financial fields."

If this doesn't worry you it should, because when Obama starts signing treaties with the UN and the Senate ratifies them, with republican support no less, our nations soverienty and our liberties go out the window.

Can we stop this? Yes, by taking a stand now and working with the only party that still believes in what our nations founding fathers fought and died for, LIBERTARIANS!
